Text Snatch for Mac

Text Snatch does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

What the app does with what you grab

• When you select an area of the screen, Text Snatch captures only that area, recognizes the text in it on your Mac using Apple's built-in text recognition, and copies the text to your clipboard.
• The captured image is discarded immediately afterwards.
• Text Snatch keeps no history of what you grab.
• The only things it saves are its own settings — your keyboard shortcut and preferences — on your Mac.

No internet, no tracking

Text Snatch makes no network connections. Nothing you grab is uploaded or sent anywhere. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services.

Screen Recording permission

macOS requires Screen Recording permission for any app that reads what is on the screen. Text Snatch uses it only when you start a grab, and only for the area you select. You can turn it off at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.

Children

Text Snatch collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
